The Ultramodernist is a diverse group of consumer advocates, designers, technicians, and product reviewers from around the world who are dedicated to helping our fellow humans live a better life. We want to give you the best gear, the best information, and facilitate living better in all things at all times. We’re forever looking forward to see what’s going to help our readers experience more of the world. We look at gear, gadgets, people, places, and ideas to help develop a foundation for existing in this post-modern world.

Our dedication is to the reader, always. We answer to no corporate overmind. We refuse sponsored content that we don’t wholly agree with, and never promote anything for our own capital gain. We do this so that we, and The Ultramodernist as a whole can be autonomous. Only in autonomy is there freedom. We wish this for all of our readers as well, which is why we strive, every single day, to produce helpful, independently verified material to serve you.

We like freedom, open source software, and only spending money when we know there’s value to be had. We aim to be objective – or as objective as mortals can – and produce balanced, well-researched articles that speak the truth. We curate the Internet, and the world at large to bring you everything that makes life worth living.

You’ll notice that our home page doesn’t have irritating pop-ups telling you to sign up for our newsletter. Our articles don’t contain slide shows meant to enhance our traffic and revenue while irritating the people looking for information. We never engage in black hat practices, and want your experience on the website to be as pleasant as possible.

Yes, there are advertisements on the website, and we do that to support ourselves and the site. That’s the unfortunate cost of doing business, for now. We’re always on the lookout for smarter ways to keep ourselves fed, and the site running while maintaining integrity. If you have an idea we haven’t considered, by all means, reach out. There’s a lot of ways to contact us, and we pay as much attention to them as we can.

Collectively and individually, we support environmental consciousness, feminism, equality, peace, kindness, tolerance, and love. We champion social causes and strive to leave the world better than when we found it.

At least, that’s the goal. Some days we prefer to say funny things about movies or make bad puns. We’re mere meat, after all.

Thank you for reading, and we hope we’ve done something to enhance your day.
